"A place to escape from the "rat race" and
enjoy some great Blues music and good
friends in a relaxing, comfortable, and
casual, yet classy atmosphere" is how
owner, Jay Hoover describes Oasis the Club.

Jay says that one of his goals in forming
the club was "to bring music you hear in
places like Austin and Dallas and the look
of clubs in larger towns but without the
high prices."  He, a big fan of the Blues,
and his wife, Susan, also a Blues lover
who grew up hearing the roots of Blues
music in the Deep South, wanted to provide
San Angelo with an alternative to the county,
rock and roll, and karaoke bars in town and,
so, chose Rock'n Blues as the musical
theme for the club.  They also wanted a
place where adults of all ages would feel
at home, or, "a place where anyone can
find what they like in a club, from a low-key
and casual happy hour to a night of top
notch Rock'n Blues, and everything in
between."
